Hans-Werner Sinn,
presidente do Ifo, diz que Portugal e Grécia precisam de ficar 30-40% mais
baratos para voltar a ser competitivos.
O economista
Hans-Werner Sinn defende, em entrevista à revista Der Spiegel, que Portugal e a
Grécia devem "sair temporariamente" do euro para reganhar
competitividade. "Se a Grécia deixar a união monetária, os gregos vão
voltar a comprar os seus produtos e os gregos ricos irão regressar e investir
no país. E se Portugal também sair, viverá a mesma experiência", disse o
presidente do Ifo, um dos cinco institutos sábios da Alemanha.
Sinn avança que o
Ifo estudou cerca de 70 desvalorizações cambiais e chegou à conclusão que a
retoma económica surge passado um ou dois anos. "Grécia e Portugal têm de
ficar 30 a 40% mais baratos para ser competitivos de novo", disse, numa
entrevista em que defende que a austeridade nestes dois países "não irá
resultar". Antes pelo contrário.
"As medidas de
austeridade vão levar estes países à beira da guerra civil", avisa. Sinn
afirma ainda que os casos irlandês e espanhol são diferentes. "Estes
países estão em posição de convencer os investidores.
Espanha só tem de
desvalorizar 20%", afirma o economista, antes de sugerir que isso é
possível de manejar dentro da zona euro. "Grécia e Portugal estão numa
categoria separada. São os únicos países que consomem mais do que
produzem", remata Sinn.

With its well-educated populace and sophisticated business culture, France has more economic breathing room than a smaller, poorer nation such as Portugal. Yet it is precisely to Portugal that Hollande should look for an example of the resolve he needs.
There is no true in this artical, this is only a blind way to defend a radical ideology that they call "freeden", how can a govern such the portuguese one be an example of governance being killing the social state and the welfare system creating poverty, unemployment, crise, rececetion and a disater for the society and economy, How can a state being comptetive with so blind politics such austerity? It is important to remember the so called "freeden" (wild liberalism) isn't the model for Europe, and never was, moreover it never worked in any part of the world.
It is being said the responsability for that crise in Europe is from the responsability of German's chanceler Merkei. It is not exactly true, there is movements inside the USA and UK that don't want a strong EU and a EURO, so they created a plan to atack Greace force her to ask bailouts in the same time there was a cordenation with the rating agencies along with the swaps. The main goal is to atack the Euro and weacken it, they did the same with other countries of the south Europe, and then now are attaking France to manipulate the markets agains France, there is signs of it in the Economist Magazin ("the Time bomb in a heart of Europe" ) and other press controled by that powers.
I hope people (europeans) undertand this: We have enimies, and they are outside Europe and they are not the russian or China! Was I clear?
