Díli, 01 fev (Lusa) -- Os negócios não petrolíferos em Timor-Leste geraram receitas de 892,3 milhões de dólares em 2010 e empregaram 46.700 pessoas, divulgou hoje o site do ministério das Finanças do país com base no estudo Pesquisa às Actividades de Negócios.
Segundo a análise, a primeira a incidir sobre as atividades económicas não petrolíferas e que foi elaborada pela Direção Nacional de Estatísticas, o "setor dos negócios geraram receitas de 892,3 milhões de dólares, com despesas de 657,4 milhões e um lucro de 234,9 milhões".
O estudo refere também que, em 2010, o setor empresarial empregou 46.700 pessoas, 82 por cento dos quais em Díli, capital do país.
O setor do comércio de retalho e grossista lidera as atividades económicas e gerou 46 por cento da receita de 2010, empregando 26 por cento das pessoas.
O setor da construção é o segundo maior empregador com 14 por cento.
"O lançamento destas estatísticas dá uma imagem da estrutura e do desempenho do setor empresarial timorense em 2010", afirma, no comunicado, a ministra das Finanças timorense, Emília Pires.
Segundo a ministra, os "dados vão ser úteis para o desenvolvimento de políticas públicas e avaliações" e para o próprio setor.
