Díli, 03 jul (Lusa) - O Governo de Timor-Leste anunciou hoje, em comunicado, que vai conceder tolerância de ponto na sexta-feira para facilitar aos funcionários públicos a participação nas eleições legislativas de sábado.
"O Governo concede tolerância de ponto durante todo o dia, no dia 06 de julho de 2012, para permitir aos cidadãos votantes que estão recenseados em local diverso daquele onde residem possam deslocar-se para exercer o seu direito de voto", refere o comunicado.
A tolerância de ponto visa permitir que os eleitores que votam fora de Díli possam viajar para os distritos onde estão recenseados.
No comunicado, o Governo pede também aos responsáveis pelas empresas privadas para facilitarem aos trabalhadores a dispensa de serviço pelo tempo suficiente ao exercício do direito de voto.
Timor-Leste realiza no sábado as terceiras eleições legislativas a que concorrem 21 partidos e coligações.

Olegario de Castro admits to his friends how he has been stealing hundreds of thousands from the East Timor's government by making fake checks, etc. He tells of how much the government of Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao trusts him, even to the point of making him the minister of finance in the next government as Dr Emilia Pires moves up the ladder to become deputy prime minister.
Unashamedly, Olegario de Castro brags about his first class trips, $10,000 wine bottles and a life of luxury as he steals from one of the poorest people in the world. Olegario de Castro is himself East Timorese who has lived most of his life in Australia.
East Timor is one of the poorest countries in the world. Most of its people still live on less tan $1 a day and a great many face regular food shortage each year. Children are stunted because of malnutrition and according to the NGO Save the Children, East Timore ranks third as the world's worst in terms of stunted growth. The life expectancy at birth is 57, one of the lowest in the world. The country is surviving thanks largely to its petroleum resources, yet most people are missing out on this windfall and people like Olegario de Castro are living a celebrity's lifestyle at the expense of the East Timorese. How can he? How can the we watch as people like Olegario de Castro steal from the East Timorese?
We must stop people like Olegario de Castro. We must name him and shame him. Thus I urge you to listen to this recording, made recently in early June at a Darwin coffee shop. Listen to it and think of the East Timorese for a little while, that every $1 Olegario de Castro takes, an East Timorese child falls deeper into poverty, illness and death. That every $1 Olegario de Castro takes, a whole community will be more and more likely to miss out on road access, sanitation, potable water, school for their children and healthcare. Then, spread this video around. Let everyone knows what kind of a person he is, that he is able to laugh it off as the East Timores, his own compatriots, suffer from the perils of poverty and disease.
Share this video as widely as possible. Let's stop people like Olegario de Castro and help the East Timorese!!
